Welcome to Felicity House
Our mission is to provide a safe, sober, and supportive home environment to assist women and those who identify as women in their efforts to recover from alcoholism and addiction and become active members of society.
Our Story
Felicity House was founded in 1974 by members of the recovery community who recognized a profound need: women leaving treatment deserved more than a place to stay — they deserved a place to belong.
What began as a simple act of service became something enduring. Felicity House was created as a sanctuary where women could continue their journey in sobriety surrounded by structure, encouragement, and shared experience.
For over five decades, our doors have remained open to women seeking stability, dignity, and hope. Rooted in the guiding principles of the 12 Steps and grounded in the belief that one woman helping another changes lives, Felicity House continues to carry that vision forward.
Here, healing happens in community.
Here, lives are rebuilt — one day at a time.
About Us
Felicity House is a nonprofit sober living home for women and individuals who identify as women, located in West Los Angeles. We provide a structured and recovery-centered environment for those transitioning from treatment or beginning again in early sobriety.
Our program is grounded in the 12 Steps and strengthened by daily accountability. Residents participate in curfews, shared responsibilities, house meetings, and personal goal-setting. Each woman is encouraged to actively work her program and take ownership of her recovery journey.
Within this structure, something powerful unfolds — women rediscover their voice, rebuild trust in themselves, and learn to live sober in community. With compassion, boundaries, and shared commitment, we walk this path together.
Our vision
Diversity & Inclusion
Felicity House welcomes women and individuals who identify as women from all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. We serve adults 18 and older who are in early recovery, many transitioning directly from detox or treatment programs.
We recognize that recovery does not look the same for everyone. Many residents arrive with limited financial resources or while receiving public assistance. Regardless of circumstance, every woman who enters our home is treated with dignity and respect.
Our vision is to cultivate an inclusive, affirming space where each resident feels seen, supported, and valued — not for where she has been, but for the life she is building.
Health & Wellness
Felicity House is more than housing — it is a place to begin again. We offer a stable and structured home where women can step away from chaos and create the space necessary for healing.
Our program is rooted in the 12 Steps and strengthened through community support, personal accountability, and consistent routines. Through peer connection, mentorship, and daily structure, residents begin laying the foundation for long-term sobriety and emotional stability.
We also offer wellness experiences such as Breathwork and Naam Yoga, led by alumni and volunteers who return in service. These practices nurture emotional balance, spiritual connection, and overall well-being — supporting recovery of mind, body, and spirit
Women’s Initiatives
At Felicity House, recovery extends beyond abstinence. We believe in rebuilding whole lives.
Residents are supported in setting goals related to employment, education, financial responsibility, and vocational development. Through practical life skills and personal accountability, women begin reclaiming independence and purpose.
With the support of peers, mentors, and alumni, residents learn how to show up for themselves and for one another. We believe in second chances, in healing through connection, and in spiritual growth through action.
